Budget and Tracking System

Special offers are temporary inducements to make customers buy or try in the base of price.

Regardless of the form that special offers appear, typically in a coupon, special offers give consumers or intermediaries a way to get the product for less than the list price. When we design a special offer such as a temporary discount or redeemable coupon, we make the offer as large as we need it to be so that it attracts and stimulates increased purchases. A discount of just one percent may not be enough to motivate customers, but in base of the cost of your product, a five percent or more may attract a lot of action. The same applies when you discount only 25 cents from the total price, some customers will not see worth of the discount and not take action, but a dollar or more often generates a great response.

You can offer coupons, refunds, gifts, free/extra product, free trial-sized samples, or other event-oriented premium plans and any other special offer you can think up. Just stay legal or contact professionals in the area so you stay out of troubles as an advertising or marketing firm.

The design of your coupon depends on the medium you want to use to reach your target audience. There are many communication channels that you choose; it can be newspaper, magazine, fax, mailing, radio, TV or website coupon. In today’s world, you’re no longer limited to a printed offer on paper. You can create a small banner to insert on Facebook – it may deliver more than a your local newspaper but once again, I encourage you hire or get the service of a marketer or marketing firm that may help you in which channel you should go for.

When picking your medium, make sure you select the right vehicle (newspaper, social media, radio, etc.) that you’re confident reaches a large number of your potential buyers. The biggest variable is what percentage of the audience is in your target market, so look closely at readership or usage statistics to decide which medium is most effective. For example, for an auto insurance client of ours, we use the special or offer for young adults. We avoid the newspaper because very few young adults read newspapers. A Facebook ad may be more optimal because many Facebook users are prospective customers.
